My sister Jean was almost 12 months older than me...9 days shy of a full year to be exact. She passed away from a staph infection in 1975 at the age of 15, just a few months before my father received orders to Spain and we went overseas. Looking back now (hindsight is best !!) at how I was in high school and the next few years, I can now say that the event affected me more than I had ever thought. She has been missed !!

This high school picture of Rick was taken at some time in the early 80's. Rick graduated from Clovis High School in Clovis New Mexico. He is still well known as one of the best drummers their award winning band ever had. He earned spending money during high school and college playing drums and banjo in a country band.

One thing all of us boys have in common is a love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Here Rick (foreground) and myself have gotten our pictures taken at the "Deer Woods" somewhere in SW Iowa during December 1997. Dad wields shotgun and camera with ease during these outtings and rarely misses a shot. We give him a hard time about his pheasant hunting technique of being so quick on the draw, he literally blows the @&&'s off the poor birds. He says since he doesnt have a dog he prefers to knock them down closer so he doesnt have to walk so far to get them into the game bag heh heh.

This picture was taken in mid 80's in Estherville Iowa when Jeremy was about 9th-10th grade. Jeremy is a gifted athelete and has always been one of those guys who could amaze the girls with his ability to do tricks on roller skates, skateboards, BMX bikes, etc. He was in at the front end of the Gen-X type sports when they were first becoming truly popular. I believe at one point a drive-in restaurant owner in Clovis, actually PAID Jeremy and a friend to set up ramps and put on a little show jumping an old car in the parking lot for about an hour or so. This was in early 80's when he was still in junior high school. He joined the Air Force shortly after high school and did a tour in England and participated in the Gulf War. After that, he moved near my parents in Colorado and attended college. He is now pursuing a successful business career in south-eastern Iowa.
Jeremy, picture taken mid to late 80's while he was in high school. Through that period of his life, he was only kid still at home and as Dad began a new career after retiring from the Air Force, my family moved from Clovis, New Mexico to Estherville, Iowa to Sheldon, Iowa to Red Oak, Iowa.
